The most common reasons for this are:

1. The RescueTime application isn't running

If RescueTime is running, you should see the RescueTime icon in the Windows system tray (or in the Menu bar on a Mac). If you don't see that, restart RescueTime.

2. You're using a computer without RescueTime installed on it

Did you know you can run RescueTime on as many computers as you like? We have versions for Windows, Mac, Linux and Android.

3. You uninstalled RescueTime from your computer
